Renowned designer Naoto Fukasawa set out to design the simplest possible chair. The Substance chair was crafted from a U-shaped plywood frame in ash, available in natural or stained finishes. The shell is made of polypropylene and offered in various colors. With its simplicity, timeless design, and comfortable seating, Substance has enjoyed tremendous success since its launch in 2015.
