Created by the Venetian design studio Zaven, the Za
Max sofa was awarded the XXVIII Compasso D’Oro by the ADI – Association for Industrial Design, the prestigious prize dedicated to the best Italian design item.
The ADI recognized the innovative characteristics and environmental sustainability aspects inherent to Za
, which marks a new step in sofa production by introducing a structural system inspired by the principle of a hammock that supports and suspends the padded elements. A tubular steel structure supports the suspended straps, creating a resting place for the cushions of the armrests, backrest, and seat.
In terms of sustainability, Za
results from a process that streamlines the elements comprising a sofa. It considers production cycles and the recycling of the sofa at the end of its life: the sofa is easily disassembled, adopts recycled and recyclable materials, completely eliminates the use of adhesives, and the various layers of padding are inserted into individual pockets of the recycled and recyclable polyester inner covering.
The Za
sofa perfectly reflects Zanotta’s commitment to environmental sustainability. By using only recycled and recyclable materials, Za
is more than just a sofa; it is a manifesto of ecological responsibility.
With Za
Max, the possibilities for configurations are nearly limitless. For the choice of upholstery (available only in fabric), please refer to the Zanotta fabric sheet. As for the metal structure, it can be produced in four different colors: orange, amaranth red, meadow green, and black. Please see the available finishes sheet.
