Lampe de Marseille

Le Corbusier
1954
Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, better known as Le Corbusier, is a cornerstone of the modern architecture movement. He notably designed the Cité Radieuse in Marseille, a building now classified as a historical monument. It is for this building that Le Corbusier created the Marseille lamp collection. This collection is now produced by the Italian brand Nemo Lighting. Inspired by the industrial lighting of the 1950s, the Marseille lamp features a diffuser made of two asymmetrical cones, providing two light sources (direct and indirect), mounted on an adjustable arm. The lampshade is swiveling, and its long arm can extend up to 166 cm.
