Designed in 1968 by the trio De Pas, D’Urbino, and Lomazzi, the transformable Galeotta armchair is one of the iconic classics of Italian design from the 1960s. In 2023, Zanotta decided to reissue it, entrusting designer Paolo Lomazzi with the task of modernizing it.
The Galeotta armchair is crafted entirely from variable-density polyurethane foam, without any rigid internal structure. It consists of three foldable, monoblock cushions linked together without any mechanism. The armchair is covered with a stretch fabric that holds the cushions firmly together and also functions as a hinge when transforming the chair.
Dynamic and modular, Galeotta folds and unfolds at will, allowing for relaxation in three different positions: seated, semi-reclined, and fully reclined.
The Galeotta armchair is ideal for unwinding after a long day. Its clean lines and minimalist style make it a unique decorative piece, perfect for modern interiors.
