Minimalism and simplicity are the key words that inspired Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec in designing the Pila chair. Produced since 2013, Pila quickly became one of Magis’s best-sellers and, in less than a decade, a modern design icon. The seat and backrest, made of plywood, are supported by four slender solid wood legs held together by an almost invisible die-cast aluminum structure. The chair’s backrest is delicately inserted into the frame like the blade of a knife, providing absolute stability. The seat and backrest are made of ash plywood, natural or painted; the legs are solid ash, natural or painted; the connecting element is die-cast aluminum, sanded or coated in epoxy resin. Versatile and stackable, Pila is available in several colors. Additionally, it is offered with an upholstered seat covered in fabric (Kvadrat, “Divina 3” and “Divina MD”). Made in Italy.
